Help. I have a concert DVD and I want to pull the audio off of it and be able to play on a cd player. I found a few old posts and used dvd decrypter to do part, but when I get to nero, I don't have the plug in. The attached post has a link but it's for a nero 6 plugin and I'm on nero 7. DOes anyone either know where I can find a plaugin for nero 7, or another way to move\convert the audio files from the dvd to a cd? THanks in advance. Here is the post regarding decrypter and nero: http://club.cdfreaks.com/f109/dvd-video-audio-cd-guide-139536/
Try Imgburn instead of Nero.. Run it and select 'Write Image file to disc' Click on the 'Create CD Cue File' logo. Open the folder containing the files, select 'All files' and load the ac3/vob files. 'Quick OK' and burn. http://www.afterdawn.com/software/cdr_software/cdr_tools/imgburn.cfm
Drag the .vob file onto GSpot. If the stream was demuxed properly there should be no video. If Gspot shows a video stream - the audio wasn't demuxed. Note that Imgburn will create an audio CD from a stereo (two channel) audio stream - not DTS or 5.1 etc. http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/video_tools/gspot.cfm If the audio stream is not stereo, it can still be demuxed from the video - but it must be converted to a stereo stream before using Imgburn to create the CD.
I went back and decrypted the dvd making sure it was not dts, and here is what I get from gspot, not sure how to post a pic so bare with me: THe only boxes populated are file, container, and audio. Container = DVD "vob" format, mpeg-program stream <<{1 aud}, Sys Bitrate: 10080 kb/s VBR Audio: CODEC = DVD_LPCM_AUDIO
AFAIK, that's a wav file - imgburn should be converting it ok, unless it isn't stereo? Drag the audio onto MediaInfo and see how many channels it has. http://www.afterdawn.com/software/audio_software/mp3_tools/mediainfo.cfm
MPEG-PS: 60.1 MiB, 5mn 15s 1 audio stream: PCM First audio stream looks identical to your example (2 channels) except after PCM it has (Big / Signed) rather than Microsoft.
I don't know why Imgburn is rejecting the file. Try loading it in HeadAC3he and saving as a wav file (Destination Format). http://www.videohelp.com/tools/HeadAC3he Here's the support forum for ImgBurn. The creator often answers the tough ones. http://forum.imgburn.com/
Won't even load there! When I try to open the files through the program they are not recognized even if I select "all file type" dragging and dropping gives me an error. Do you think I created the files incorrectly in the 1st place? I did exactly what the post suggested, using dvd decrypter.... http://club.cdfreaks.com/f109/dvd-video-audio-cd-guide-139536/ Anway thanks for all your help on this.
Rip the DVD to a folder. Run Rejig in 'IFO Mode'. Rejig can rip a chapter from a DVD folder (if you select more than one chapter, you get them lumped together in a large file). Select one chapter, one audio stream and 'Process' the file. Test that file with Imgburn. http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/video_tools/rejig.cfm
Success! Tried one file and once it processed I could play it via windows media player and imgburn recognized it. Thanks for all your help!
