Im trying to write a dvd movie that is in mpeg2 form but has dvd titles. The entire thing is less than 700mb and i would like to write it to a cd-r but my sony dvd player will only recognise it as a cd and the message "No Audio Tracks Found" appears. After i put the disc in the drive instead of the "dvd" light coming on it detects it as "cd". Is there any way of fooling my dvd player into thinking my cd-r is a dvd disc, i know the menu's work as windvd play's it fine. Please help
MPEG is SVCD. Does your home dvd player support svcd format? If you don't see that on the front of the dvd, look for a funtion on your remote entitled "PBC" (play back control). If you have this option on your remote, click enable. What burning program did you use to burn the MPEG2 file? Shoey
Yeah my dvd plays svcd's fine but i want the interactive menu's that are on dvd's to work on my cd's. Svcd menu's work but no animation, music etc
"CD-R/W burning, copying, software, hardware. Everything that relates to CD-R(OM)s. No video related issues, (S)VCD included."
Did you do the rip& encode or download from a p2p file sharing client? When you say menu's, are you referring to subtitles. i backup dvd2svcd quite often but don't mess with subtitles. They seem to be annoying for my other dvd player that CAN'T disable subtitles. Can you hear the audio playback on your pc?
