It's a Sabrent SBT-TVFM and yes the sound works perfectly through the program that came with it and the program in Nero for captured video but nothing when you play back the recording. I have the audio output going into the sound card input as it says but just like I said. Any ideas?

My tuner came with a double ended 1/8 stereo phone jack cable which I plugged into my tuner's audio output and into my computer's audio input to get sound.

if he can hear the sound at all, myth2768, it would seem that he has that cable connecting his sound card and tuner. so i scratch my head. >.<

it would seem the issue lies in one of your settings, johnnyd54. somewhere, you've got the sound muted on something. just go through every single setting and see if you can find it.
