    dled a game & extracted the rar file, now it's an iso, does that mean its the xtreme prepatched rip? how do i determine what type of rip it is, so i can use the correct procedures?

    no it doesnt,
    just about every game u download will come as an ISO after extracting it.

    To determin wether its patched download XDVDMULLETER and view the iso details using that.

    You will want your ISO details to look something like this;
    the image below is a screenshot of pre patched iso i downloaded.

    [IMG]

    The ISO REGION checkboxes however will change as the region of the ISO does.

    @hajjid

    You dont want to use SS Merger anymore its not too good.
    XDVDMULLETER is much better,

    Download:http://360hax.com/download.php?view.14

    Firstly, with every ISO you download check its details with this programme.
    To do this you have to;

    1)Open XDVDMULLETER
    2)Select VIEW ISO DETAILS from the bullet list.
    3)Click NEXT
    4)Click the LOAD FROM FILE tab
    5)Click Browse
    6)Select and open the ISO fiel you ant to check
    7)Wait for it to say ISO LOADED SUCCESSFULLY
    8)Click Next

    Now hopefully you'll end upw ith a screen like this

    [IMG]

    If all the bullet points are highlighted under XTREME COMPATIBILITY then the game ISO is fine and doesnt need changing at all.
    Then you just have to make sure you have the correct region ISO
    And you good to burn.

    If under XTREME COMPATIBILTY ther are soem bullet poitns not highlighted you will need to find the patches your missing on google or something.
    And just apply them by going throught the buttons at the bottom INSERT SS, INSERT DMI etc etc
    and opening the file.

    Note however if the iXTREME COMPATIBLE bullet isnt highlighted and you dont use iXTREME firmware (say XTREME 5.2d) the game may work.
    Thats if you have all the patches.

    You will find most games nowadays come prepatched with everything,
    id suggest if you download your games to read NFOs before downloading.

    Hello Everyone;

    About Media:

    Verbatim DVD+R DL must be the best, I have seen their price.

    But how about TDK and Memorex DVD+R DL? Can they do the job as well?

    I sincerely hope so because they are way less expensive.

    Regards

    @bosanci28 + trash_man

    Memorex, TDK and GK media might work for you,
    however these lower grade disks will make your laser work hard in your xbox,
    the laser will wear down quicker trying to read the disks,
    and will result in you havint tob uy a new xbox sooner,
    or learning to swap xbox 360 drives, it isnt easy.

    Verbatim are the price they are because they are just that good!
    They're worth every penny and will never not buy them from now on!

    Hi All,

    I'm wondering if anybody has some suggestions. I've recently had the NME V2.0 chip installed into my 360. The company that did the install supplied a backup game for testing and all seems to be working properly. However, I can not get a single backup I burn to work (unplayable disc).

    I started out with Fujifilm (+R-DL) discs on a LG Burner (4163B). I used NME Associator to patch my ISO's (when needed) and tried burns using CloneCD 5.3.1.0 and ImgBurn 2.3.2.0 and always got the unplayable disc error. I assumed it was a media problem and picked up some Verbatim DL's (+R - Singapore). Same error.

    I tried updating my burners firmware, but still got the same error. I kept reading about the Pioneer burners and how they are the "preffered" burners for this. I couldn't find a 111D or 112D locally so I picked up a 115D. Out of the box, same Unplayable Disc error. I updated this burners firmware (to 1.18) and still have the same errors.

    I don't know what else to try. I've tried 6-8 different game images. I run my images through XDVDMulleterBeta10.2 and they all check out perfectly. I've tried SS Merger 1.7B, and no matter what I do, I can not boot a back-up I've made.

    Needless to say, I've hit a brick wall. I'm looking for any help or suggestions on what I should try next. Thanks in advance for any advice you can give.

    Brad

    Hey
    Great tut. read half of it almost ½ of it in 30 hours or so, very helpful

    Well i couldn't get an answer to this question thats bugging me, i live in europe and the voltage here is different than that in the states as u prolly know. I am getting an xbox360 premium from the states, i got a computer with SATA cables and all, if i connect the pc (which is running on a different voltage) to the xbox360 (american voltage) will it cause me any problems? i mean cant it burn the xbox dvd driver thinking about it? or does the sata cable only transfer a specific voltage?

    Thnx

    @Ms85dk

    Your computer and your xbox always run at different voltages,
    you need to ground them both anyway so it should be fine even with an xbox from the states.

    To ground your xbox and pc either:
    ensure the metal chasis of the xbox and pc are touching when flashing,
    use a wire with 2 crocodile clips on the end, clipping each clip to the chasis of botht hte xbox 360 and pc.
