Tutorial: How To Burn XBox360 Games

and i have tried 2 different ISO and the first did have the .dvd file

One of my ISOs has an NFO file which says patched for stealth.

is there a way to know if a file has been patched?

 

All of the torrents came in like a bunch of files so they had to be rared. I rared them and they turned into one or two files. Examples:

What do I do with these?

 

load the iso in mulleter

click next and make sure all of the boxes in the xtreme compatibility section are checked

 

ok did that they are all checked. So what does that mean? everything is ok with the file right?

all your files are fine then the .NFO doesn't lie!
and ya just like gehx says you can always run it through mulleter

skate-thats an iso file you can load that into CloneCD and burn with easy (2x/2.4x with DVD-ROM booktype)

Army of two- that one comes with a .dvd and a .iso, you can load either into imgburn or clonecd and burn but we all suggest you load the ISO and burn that

I now have 8 burns completed but only 3 games will play '._.

Dirt disc error, yes.
The other 5 games wont even start. DOH!

I have flashed my BenQ drive with the newest iXtreme Firmware 1.41 for the BenQ drive.

How the hell do i set my bit-type to DVD-ROM?

PS: The game wich runs best is Conan, i only get Dirt disc error after 20 min of playing or so.... but still, pretty annoying. aRGH!

I didn't think it would make that much difference but it does.
So for everyone else who is having a similar problem as mine stated
(on page 91)
Just Use Verbatim Discs and You should be fine!!!

Now that i have successfully burnt a game, i just have a question, when i put the game into my xbox 360, it says there is an update available and if i don't download i will be logged out of xbox live. Is there any risk in downloading these types of updates?

no prob thats a XMB/OS update, nothing to due with your firmware....becareful though going on live it may induce a ban

good for you, most people are ignorant and will buy the cheapest media then whine for two pages about how there games wont work verbatim is a sure thing

well if your bit-setting isn't at DVD-ROM none of the games you burn will work.....

i also understand that one of your games gets an error half way through? defiantly a media issue you are burning with verbatim correct?

 

ive bought my games off a site and i havent been banned not once i get they make sure the back up looks like the original and make sure the security sector and dfi and all the info is there correctly...that just the safest way for me..of course they are deleted before 24 hours... pm if any questions

 

Yes, as i said in the last post im using Verbatim DVD+R DL discs.
I found out that the bitsetting was DVD-ROM so that cant be the problem.

Can it be the ISO?

Just a reminder, im having the Dirty Disc, please clean it with a soft cloth etc. error.

 

due to the fact that one of your games loaded and played for 20minutes before giving you a read error either means your burner is wack or your ISO is no good.....have you tried a firmware update? try burning with imgburn instead of clonecd!

 

So if I want to change the booktype, do I just do that through DVD Decrypter and then burn it on DVD Decrypter? or CloneCd or what?

I'm doing burns now, I have no verbatim discs yet but I'm trying the Memorex ones anyways because they couldn't be sent back because my dad already opened them. =/

My book type was already set to DVD-ROM and I tried burning with CloneCD and it said it was a sucess burn, then I put it in the 360 and it says Mixed Media Disc and then I click it and nothing happens. What does this mean?

 

Will there be a better success rate if I burn at 1x?
