    To Anabi_Ltd: We can't point at the firmware, it's not allowed.

    Google it man, write the firmware you're looking for and you'll get to it, also try torrents, they are there, we just can't tell you where they are since it's not allowed by the forums rules.

    Again, make a thread for these questions, don't post them here.

    (and don't post the same question in 2 different ones i saw that other one :p)

    since this offically stikied we should update the first post:

    Updated by me Burning AS :
    Needed Tools:
    * XBox 360 w/ XTreme Firmware. Update- latest Extreme FW v3.1
    * DVD+R Dual Layered Blank DVD Perferably Verbatim brand
    * Burner Capable Of Burning Dual Layered DVDs Booktyped to DVD-ROM
    * LATEST VERSION of CloneCD
    * XBOX360 SS Merger 1.6o.

    NEXT updates by as:

    First your going to download your games from wherever you get your stuff. I personally use newsgroups, it seems to be the fastest and most reliable source for getting anything. You need to check the game first to see what kind of rip it is. Straight rips of the games don't work yet so you need to find the ones that can be patched, or if your lucky already patched. This tutorial will show you how to patch the games if needed. The easiest way to check what kinda rip is to check the .nfo file that comes with almost every game. ANd everythign about newsgroups and how to get started go here: http://www.slyck.com/ng.php

    NEXT UPDATES by as:

    Types Of Rips:
    -Straight Rips: At this time these are impossible to do anything with. I group by the name of Pi has been releasing these lately. They are of no use at the current time though. (RARLY SEEN NOW)

    -Xtreme Rips (Not Patched): These are good rips that just need to be patched with the correct .bin file. I'll explain where to get these, and how to patch the files. After patched you can then burn it and it'll boot no problem. (RARLY SEEN NOW)

    -Xtreme Rips (Pre Patched): These files are the easiest to use, they come in .rar format like both other rips, the difference is you just have to unrar and burn. No patching required. This is the fastest way.

    Note: Skip to step 2 if you have a prepatched iso. Just burn and play!

    FOR EVEN MORE INFORMATION CHECK OUT THE .PDF GUIDE "Complete Firmware Tutorial V40: Samsung And Hitach, Backing Up, Modifying & Flashing the FW" at http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?showtopic=514944

    GOOD LUCK

    ********************************************************************

    i hope either Nephilim or ddp or the orginal poster can update this as above that would make everything better.

    thanks

    btw, Pioneer's automatically bitset dvd-dl media to dvd-rom. so no need to use dvdinfopro or anyother app to do it.

    Uh Hi everyone I have a very probaly stupid question!
    do you have to have a mod chip? Is there any program that overrides the copyright in the system or what ever?
    I would buy a chip but theres the matter of not wanting to lose my system to a fusk up and not be able to get a new one seein how i dont have 500 dollars so im just wonderin

    Hi there. Just downloaded dead rising (says its pre-stealth patched) it came in rar format (around 70 files) ive used winrar and lw im left with 2 files:

    1.) IMAGE dvd file (1KB)
    2.) IMAGE000 000 file (7,395,392 KB)

    Ive got clone cd 5.0.4.5.

    This will be the first xbox360 game ive burn to disk. Just wanted to know if this sounds right as I only have a few dual layer discs.
    Do I just burn the big IMAGE 000 file using clone cd (as described earlier in this thread) onto dual layer dvd +R 2.4x at lowest speed as possible(1x)? Thanks.

    Thanks for the quick reply.

    When I try to open the smaller file with clone cd I get an error message:

    Error opening File LayerBreak=1913760: The system cannot find the file specified

    Any ideas?

    @lofty2x2

    make sure both files are in the same dir.

    When I used winrar, ive extracted the 2 files to a new folder(think i just called the folder xbox360) So they are in a different folder to all the rar files.
