Please help I paid a shop Gametex in glasgow to do the firmware mod I thoght well they have done it umteem times before since having it modded I havent been able to play a backup. I have downloaded the backups from a good sight that I use for PS2 and Xbox all have been good and worked. I have tried to follow the tut and have used the latest clone cd,Nero7.5.1.1, Diskjuggler and DVD decryptor with both Pioneer111D Firmware 1.29 and NEC 4570 Firmware 1.02 every disc has come up as unrecognised. I cant change the setting to DVD rom on the pioneer but nec changes still cant change the setting in clone cd. Please please help I am using Verbatim 2.4-8 +DL and burning at 2.4 I bought these discs at PCworld and they cost 39.99GBP for 10 I only have 2 left Please help

    Hi Guys,
Already flashed my xbox, had a friend burn some games and they worked fine, now I am trying to burn my own games. I am using a plextor 716SA drive and it keeps creating coasters, I am using verbatim DVD+RL the same that my friend used however I keep getting the disk unrecognized message? Does anyone know if its my burner, do i need to purchase a pioneer? I have no problem doing that I am just getting tired of creating coasters. please help?

Are you sure the bitsetting for you're burner is set to DVD-ROM? You can use DVDInfoPro to determine and set this.

Also, you're burner may just not be compatible, I have never had an issue and use Verbatim with an LG 4163B drive and Samsung SH-D162C to rip....no issues here.

Yeah, I checked the bitsetting and it appears to be set on both of my dvd burners, I ordered a pioneer 111 which my friend uses and will try that when it comes in, everyone seems to have the best luck with those, is there a specific speed I should burn at to get the best results?

Yes burn as s low as possible, I always select 1x however it bumps it to 2.4x, never any faster.

The Pioneer is great, it's the drive I was going to pick up but my LG works flawlessly. What do you use to rip/backup for a drive?

    HI guys

This probably sound silly but i need to start somewhere you know:)

I'm having this problem with this iso in .rar format.

When I click the winrar icon it shows the files 7.5 gb large, but once I open it it has 2 folders - AUDIO_TS AND VIDEO_TS - then when i extract these folders they only amount to like 6mb in size! - There are a couple of vts files in the video folder and nothing in the audio folder. How am I supposed to burn this or can someone pls guide me through this process as I'm sure I'm doing something fundamentally wrong.

    Help anyone pls

hi, i'm kinda new at the whole torrent backup process and i'm having a problem burning the dvd file. For some reason after i'm done unraring the files i get two seprate files, a 35bytes file.dvd and a 7.05gb file.000. I'm not too sure but isnt that file.000 supposed to be a file.dvd also, and if so how do i fix this problem??

yes, the .dvd file has the layerbreak info and the image filename...open it in notepad & you'll see what I'm talking about.

    Hi guys

I'm new as well to this whole iso burning for xbox 360 games - For 2 games so far when unraring the files 2 files are produces - 1 amounying to 7.5 +- gb and a dvd file around 30kb - But I have been experiencing problems since - when viewing a rar iso in windows it shows its 7.5 gb which is correct, but as soon as i open the rar file to see what it contains , there are 2 folder , video_ts and Audio_ts which are 6.3mb in size! when i extract them its 6.mb as well - this issue has happened now with 3 games I've download.

    Could anyone please advise

Wiseup, could you explain how you did it - just dont get how the extracted files are only +- 6mb yet the rar file shows its +- 7 gb - After extracting a rar file in the past, I would usually be left with just 2 files - a dvd file which is a couple of kb in size, then another huge 7+gb file which i then just slap both onto disc.

Guidance would be much appreciated thanx

what you do is start a fresh extract the big file to the desktop then the small one next use clone cd to burn, select the small file then it should work dont extract the big file twice just the once will do it will still be zipped but thats ok let me know how you get on
