    OKIE DOKIE,

Heres a bit more to the last post, I purchased 5 philips DVD+R DL's and have used 4,

3 for Call of Duty for with the following methods tried,
Burn ISO in CloneCD in DVD+R Booktype, Burnt ISO in CloneCD in DVD-ROM Booktype, Burnt ISO in ImgBurn in DVD-ROM Support

1 for Need for Speed Pro Street (Burnt in ImgBurn but used the convert tab in NME Associator first in DVD-ROM Type)

The 1st one said "unplayable disc" the 2nd just didnt load and stayed on Dashboard with "Open Tray" the 3rd was also "unplayable disc" and the 4th (NFS Pro Street) stayed on Xbox Live Dashboard with "Open Tray" displayed.

Here are the NFO's from the games.

I have 1 philips blank DVD+R Left and want to know exactly what I should do to get this one working, remember im using a LiteON DVD+R DL Burner, I am happy to buy Vertabim discs but was told these philips ones work on xbox 360, also read that LiteOn Drives work but am happy to buy a pioneer when I can get just 1 disc working!

    Thank you in advance,
    Jim

I have heard that Verbatim DVD+R DL quality has gone down since switching manufacturers. It seems the discs made in India have flooded the market and it's all that you will find generally. Many people seem to be reporting bad experiences with them.

Since I'm going to be buying some media soon, anybody have experiences with the new Verbatim media in relation to burning Xbox 360 games?

Just don't wanna waste $30 on a spindle that only gives me a couple good burns! :)

Your blog seems to be advertisements to scam sites basically. In fact there's a thread on this very forum about a site you're endorsing on your "blog" -- smells a little fishy around here.

I dont know about Philips. I use Memorex-2.4-8.5GB-240min-DVD+R DL and ImgBurn with a Sony DVD DL burner. When I used ImgBurn for the first time it started out at 2.5x burn speed and by the time it was done it was up to 9.6x. I was worried but it seems to play fine. Not sure how it got so hi seeing as how DVD is only 2.4x. That was the first game i burned. the second burned just fine and plays just fine setting the write speed to 2.4x manually. Oh and when you unpack your backup it should have (name).ISO and (name).DVD, when using ImgBurn you have to pick the .DVD to burn correctly, not the .ISO. I haven't got he .ISO burn to work properly and not even sure if there is a way to just use the ISO.

Also there are serveral ways to setup your ss.bin, some of the backups come with the ss.bin already batched. I use NME aSSociat0r ver.1.0.0.0, pick my ISO, click radio buttons for "Extract security sector from Extreme ISO" and "Fix header for IMGburn". It fixes it or it says its been fixed and then I burn it with ImgBurn. Simple.

Anyone seen anything on how to burn Xbox backward compatible for NME-360?

For all those having problem burning Xbox 360 games, I recommend just buying a Pioneer 112D or 112DBK Burner. I just got mines today and all the games I burned worked. I tried about 4 different types of burners like Mad Dogg and Sony and Both made the process fail or something. Just buy that burner and your problems will be gone.

All my backup games work, just one problem though. I don't want to be banned off Xbox live. I am using my original disc right now. I heard that Iextreme 1.4 has bugs in it still.

If you don't want to be banned from XBL don't play backups, period.

How can you tell what format the files came to you in? Will clone cd put the files in order or do I have to. I have two types of files, one is a winrar file the other is I dont know, the kind that ask you to download the opener from the web.

    TO MANY QUESTIONS CAN'T ANSWER

topcloser - YOU will only have a ISO file, thats it period, you may need to patch it, depends

Redial - this maybe a stupid question but your 360 does have a custom (hacked firmware running, you need the xtreme52

Faial82- you only burn 360 GAMES to one disc, ok,DL-DVD
    http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/453492 -your answer

SpeedX100 -burn at slowest speed, reinstall burner drivers

    martin200-
nope only buy Verbatim, nothing in the dye has changed
you can get a 50 swindle for like 20-30 on ebay

EricCarr - dont be picky, ixtreme works fine as long as you dont abuse it, or make a bad flash

stick1970-usually there split into many files,go here for how to burn them right

once complete you should have a iso file (big one 4.5g-8gigs)

personally, I have a pioneer dvr-112d, use imgburn and set it for max speed...never had an issue, also, I always use verbs

fyi, always close unneeded applications before burning
