Tutorial on running ISO's via USB on Devhook, Firmware 1.5 ONLY

sorry mate but devhook on a 2.8 doesnt work,youll have to wait for a drowngrader as it only works on a 1.5,as for the downgrader i havent a clue when its coming out.

 

getting problem with my pc getting that message when it is loading the game

"the game could not be started(80020148)"

i think there's a prob with my usb of my pc as it is working fine on my laptop...does devhook run dax isos??

the prob with my usb on my pc is that when the game is about to load ...the usb disconnect... anyone know a solution?? had some probs with my printer too sometimes...it just repeadtly connect disconnect connect disconnect...without stopping!!!

 

no devhook cannot run dax but it can run ciso which is another form of compression.

as for your pc not sure what could be causing it really, your usb ports mite be knackered??

the usb on ya pc mite be broke,i dunno its just a thought.

Juan, thanks for the prx's. Having a prob I dragged and dropped your prx's into my umdgen 3.50 while my daxter prx's are displayed and it asks me if I want to replace so I click "yes to all" (17) and try to generate an iso but in the middle of it it UMDGEN gives me an error " ERROR! Next available LBA position is 93909 but LBA [Cocuments and settings_\compaq_owner\mydocuments\prxfordaxter\module\cert_loader.prx]position is 93908! The daxter that i have is an MPH fixed game and its 421,148kbs. Also the "prxfordaxter" is a folder I created in my documents to save the prx's you sent me. Any Ideas?

 

I'm downloading the mods now I thought I already had the newest one but maybe not It's being weird lol It says 55 minutes for me to download only 32 mgs of stuff.

I am going to try this step by step with the newest one with the mods and see if I can get it to work this time. And yes I do have type B drivers installed.

 

Question, I have created a MP_ROOT on the root of my memory stick and an 100NMV01 folder inside of that and then my Video file "Jackass the Movie.mp4" but when i go to videos in XMB it tell me that "there are no videos" Please Help!!!!

I've got it.....had to rename the movie in the ms.

 

I don't mean to double post but I did it I finally got it to work through usb connection I just tried it with NFS MW I am sooooooooo happy right now !!!

 

PedoJuco what did you rename the movie in the MS to?
Are you dragged and dropped the prx's in to the iso or .cso?(try to do it on the iso)and you can try to use UMDgen v3.2(UMDgen v3.5 has bugs)

PedoJuco you can try to not change the cert_loader.prx in Daxter(only change all the other prx's)
or only change this ones
sc_sascore.prx
videocodec.prx
mpeg.prx
mpegbase.prx
audiocodec.prx
libatrac3plus.prx

coolguy6 I tryed to DL the file at rapidshare and it works.
Go down to Free
In 1min. you will see 3 #'s that you will need to type
then press dawnload
Try it and if you can not get it I will send you the files.

i did everting..now trying field command..manage to get to loading screen..but until now onli loading...been like this for 10min liao..is it normal?

 

coolguy6 next time edit your post.
It is not normal to load for 10min(it takes less then a 1min.) try more them one iso or cso game.(is the game untouched?)

 

newbies cant edit posts as far as im concerned... btw try other games, like a simple nfs which works most of the times

 

yeah..thanks guys for helpings..other games working fine...just that field comander hang during loading...maybe file corupted during dload..but nvm..thanks again guys fr making this happen
