Tutorial on running ISO's via USB on Devhook, Firmware 1.5 ONLY

Juan, Yes I dragged and dropped those prx's, I'll try Umd 3.2 then. Yes it's a iso not cso. To make movies play on your psp you have to rename them in your ms to M4Vxxxxx.MP4.....the xxxxx stand for ANY 5 digit number. Thanks for your help, I have Daxter working with MPHGL but I want to learn to make them back to an untouched version cause I have several games that won't load with Devhook 0.46 and I want for ALL my games to load with it. Finally got around to try this USB thing and.....it works!!!! One thing though I can't cicle through my games pressing Home + R (r L) What's up with that?

 

Does anyone know of why my usb or any ripped game does'nt access the wi-fi connection , I ripped my own game and it's untouched it works great but no online play all it does is freeze on me , same thing with NFS MW , NBA Live 06 , and Dead to Rights it says searching for games and then freezes.

 

U have to setup your "network connection" while on Devhook 2.71 and make sure you save your settings.
Come to think of it I think mine does the same for example on Socom UMD it allways finds games to play but when I run the ISO I don't think it can find anything I'll try it now and check back.

PedoJuco I can cicle through my games pressing Home + R(L)when I use USB.It has to work for you.

numnuts87 wi-fi only works on 222 Mhz(not 333)

 

hi i followed all the steps in tutorial and when i boot up dev hook i hear my computer connect to the psp. also i can see all the isos that are on my computer when pick the setting and press start the psp reboots and i hear the disconects and the psp freezes. i played around with the settings all tried all my iso and the same thing happens all the time. thanks in advance

Did you try more then one iso?(it can be your game is not untouched)

 

i dont think its the settigns in dev hook. i know how to load games that are all ready my memory card. i think its the usb host because when i put all the correct settings in and press start ans when it reboots itself, i can the hear the noise when you disconnect a usb device. so the psp has no where to get the iso and just freezes. how can i fix this?

or DevHook_Shell_Prototype_Mod_r27 (or guimod v3.3)

 

Got Home+R/L wolking LOL.......Before i had to press them at the same time, now I have to press home wait half a second and press R or L and it works.

One question thoug on my memory stick under game when I go to launch tis I have 4 Icons instead of 2 for devhook I have:
Devhook Launcher Mod 1.35
Escape Devhook from FW2.xx
Return to 1.50 from fw2.xx
Devhook
Is that how it should look?
I don't see a USB on or off option....If I want to run them through the ms I run my regular Devhook and if I want to play via usb then I run the Devhook Launcher mod 1.35
Is this the right way it just seems a little weird?

 

you only need Devhook Launcher Mod 1.35(USB mod)
when your in the DH menu go in to Other and you will see USB(Enabled or desable)so you can play from your MS

Escape Devhook from FW2.xx (when your in 2.71 xmb use this as a homebrew to Return to 1.50)
Return to 1.50 from fw2.xx (when your in 2.71 xmb use this as a homebrew to Return to 1.50)you only need one of this
Devhook(that does not have mods)

delete what you do not what at the PSP/GAME folder

Also found an interesting way to exit USB, Just got to Escape Devhook from FW2.XX then press on toggle to ISO unplug your cable then go back to Escape from Devhook and toggle to your ms , I'm sure most of you already knew that but It might help somebody out there.

 

you do not need to exit USB(games in your MS work with the USB Enabled)
When you unplug your USB cable you can play the games in your MS with the new mods.(that I put in this page)

I have religiously followed the steps to install Devhook ver 0.46 to 2 of my 2GB memsticks for the PSP. My unit version is 1.5. Expectedly, It worked for some games. Unfortunately, it's not saving any data to the memstick?

Where did I go wrong? Any suggestions? Any wrong configurations doing am I?

P.S. Do have to do something with the FALSH ROM? Should I flash1: < ms): install configfile?
