Tutorial on running ISO's via USB on Devhook, Firmware 1.5 ONLY

Look at my post in that page and you will know the settings for DH and here the iso or .cso games go.
All you need to do is connect the PSP to your PC and use the Ultimate Installer v0.3.1 to intall DHv46(you do have a 1.5 psp?)

 

Hi... a dude from another forum tells me about this tuto... i would like to know if there´s some way to make this work without having a UMD disk... 'cause my value pack didn´t came with any one in a box....

Thanks Juan no i will be downgrading to 1.5 first then i want ot use the memory stick for the games i do not want the usb connected to pc so my intention is put 3 - 5 games on memory stick and start psp and play the games with 4gb umd.

I think the ulitimate installer is for playing games on pc correct see that is were i am getting confused with devhook and ultimate

 

I did that already but still having the problem. I see the game in XMB and when i press X it gives me the Little intro but when it's about to load the game I get the error.

 

Khrysller you need a UMD game so DHv46 works.(buy one)

saj070 the ulitimate installer is Devhook(it intalls full DHv46 on you MS so you do not have to do anything more)this is all you need to play games on your MS or PC.
It works from USB(PC) or your MS. (you can turn off USB)
But what you have to do first is get a 1.5(you may brick your PSP)When you have a 1.5 ask for DH help.(not now)
What you need now is to go here http://www.psp-hacks.com/forums/viewtopic.php?id=17935&p=1 to downgrade

Never seen this problem, maybe you guys can help. I have a "Open Season" ISO which I have played before but now when I try to load it I get the following: A critical error occurred while reading data on the UMD. Press the back button to try again, or the HOME button to return the PSP to System Software........Anybody's seen this before?
Tried an ISO and CSO, does anybody have this game working? I'm thinking SONY is doing something new with this games as it is the only one I'm having probs with.

Is your game untouched?(it has to be biger then 700mb)
or did you get a riped game?

Khrysller I am from Mexico(but I am in the USA CA. now)and I know español.
Try to get a free game demo that will work.(but you need to have a UMD game)not a movie

My "Open Season" ISO is 738MB and I downloaded another one (1.02GB as an ISO) and 959MB CSO. The 738MB one was downloaded from ESPALPSP and it has their logo in XMB picture. I will try the 959MB CSO and post soon. Thanks.

O.K. the new one 959MB CSO works perfectly.

 

PedoJuco try to get untouched games only.(some times the riped games do not work)
but I think I know why it did not work for you.Did you try to use english language?(ESPALPSP some times rips the games to spanish)and that is what you have to use so it works.
With only the laguage you what it is like 700mb.(look for a ripkit)

 

ok i need sum serious help..alot of people are wondering this too...wen i start up usbhostfs..and connect to it with devhook..it seyz ERROR, INVALID MAGIC...wat duz this mean???...How can i fix this NEED HELP PLEZE..THNKX IN ADVANCE!!

 

qberty I do not know why you get that.(I have not see that before)
Where did you get the usbhostfs pack and type B driver from?(try get new ones)there are some in the first page here.
Try to use a new USB port on your PC.

ok open 1 of the files... it will contain maybe some folders or just an iso witha wierd name... drag the iso onto the desktop and wait until its extracted..after this u rename the iso... and just keep it in a folder where u can play it.. btw if u want it as iso use the iso compressor in my tut in the link under my sig..CHEERS
