Tutorial on running ISO's via USB on Devhook, Firmware 1.5 ONLY

what he means by untouched is that the iso has not been modified (made smaller/upgrading taken out/made dummy files) Duh!

 

pandalori I do not have a TA-082 2.71 psp so I can not help you.
I do not know if USB mod works on a TA-082.(searsh for a Hen C thread)

Some of the iso's you DL are riped(so it may not works)
What is your iso game size?

When you extract the files with WinRAR and was made into in iso format(that is the untouched game) do not do anything to it.(you can .cso it if you what)
prince of persia works for me(untouched)
If the game is untouched it has to work in DHv46.(with my settings in this page)

poop_dood if you are useing my settings for coded arms iso(you need a UMD)
but you can try this settings for old games(I think no UMD)

UMD-MODE: ISO ANYUMD

i followed those instructions and all it said was game could not be started fffffeee something...damn

 

hey does any one know if i can use my usb thumb drive to load games off. i bought a dongle for it to go from my usb to a mini usb connector.

(some games you will need to fix) and most new games will not work.
I think GTA and DBZ will work ok.

CrisKahn2 wifi will not work(only USB)

khanbaba you can not use a usb thumb drive to load games(you need to have the usbhost on your PC)

 

Perfect tutorial. Very simple instructions.

Only problem I'm having is playing Daxter. I've tried two different copies, and one freezes on the intro, the other has a frozen black screen random during loading sequences.

Is anyone else having Daxter related problems, or am I having bad luck in finding a good copy?

do u guys eva say wen u r coping big files to your psp memory stick and your computer keeps sayin cannot find specified files...does any1 knw how to fix this...although it eventually copies after a long time its very annoyin

 

Airek Daxter works untouched for me.(you have old fixed game)for an old loader.(you need to fix it for DH)use prx from a game(2.5 or 2.6 FW) that work for you and put them in the iso where the old .prx's file are.(look in this thread and you will see how to do it) go back like 20 pages.

maskiri you need a untouched game so all your games work.

I had that(cannot find specified files) when I was coping a game to my MS it stoped. I use a new USB port in the back of my PC and now it works ok.(do not use the USB port that is in the 8 in 1)or 9 in 1 that has MS and other stuff.

 

WOW!! Nice tutorial. Luckily I already had most of it setup from when I downgraded. Just needed the mod and the info about the usbhostfs. First iso I booted worked perfectly. One thing you might wanna add is to create an ISO folder inside the usbhostfs folder and put your ISOs inside of it.... Hey some people might think that devhook magically finds em wherever they are on the computer. KUDOS mate!

basically, i did downgrade my TA-082 PSP to fw 1.5. So is there a way i can make the PSP think i still have a 2.6/2.7/2.8 FW without changing it everytime? And i just dont get how you load the ISOs....it just wouldn't load up. Plus, i don't know where to put everything. damn. Anyway, thanks in advance for the people who would reply.

 

Iaijutsu do you have a 1.5 psp? Did you read this thread?(that is what you need to do)and you will know all you need.(first page)
How did you downgrade a TA-082?

If you have a 1.5 psp and(or a 2.71 psp with HenC)
you can get DevHook Ultimate Installer v3.1 http://www.psp-haxors.com/?page_id=6 (it will put all the files you need in your MS)

this are the serttings you need.
DEVHOOK v0.46(FW v2.71)

UMD-ISO: ms0:/ISO/game.iso
UMD-MODE: ISO ANYUMD

Is anybody else having problems with the step #8
"8)Now on your PSP go to UMD SELECT and you should see an option "usbhostfs0:/" open this and you should see ISO/ and driver/, open the ISO folder and your ISO's should be there!"

I can see usbhosts0 but when I click on it, the blue highlighted option just goes to the umd drive above that usb option. I think it could possibly deal with when I installed the drivers for the first time I tried to get usbhosts working.

Does anybody have any ideas?

 

Hi everyone, I have this problem here.

I installed the usbhostfs0 drivers thingy but when I boot the .exe the "Connected to device" never appears. I'm all new to the devhook thing because I always used 1.5... anyway if someone can help it would be nice.

 

make sure devhook is installed by going into your memory stick on the PSP and seeing if you have DeviceHook Launcher MOD. Hook up the PSP to your computer and load DeviceHook. USBHostFS should now say connected to device. If not make sure you can view your PSP on the PC by going into USB connection on the PSP, you should have a new drive called Removable Media show up in windows explorer. If you do than there might be a problem with windows recognizing the USBHostFS driver.

 

Yup, Under the Game>Memory stick... Escape DEVHOOK from FW2.xx and DEVHOOK launcher mod 1.45... nothing else since I formatted the ms (followed the guide). Do I need to have devhook installed?

Oh and no, when I boot DEVHOOK launcher mod my psp doesn't apear in 'my computer'
