Tutorial on running ISO's via USB on Devhook, Firmware 1.5 ONLY

Well I dont think there are currently any games that require 3.01. But some of the best new games are MGSO, Medal of Honor Heroes, Brothers In Arms etc etc It really depends on your preferences.

No, even though the new games don't require 3.01, they do require 2.81. So you will need to use DevHook 0.50 or above. And I recommend that you use DevHook 0.51 because it has less bugs.

 

you only need DHv51 for some new games.
There are some that work with the hybrid FW(2.71+3.01) in DHv46
like MGSO and Brothers In Arms.

 

im confused which is which? theres the dv 0.51 which is 1.3mb and another which is 22mb which one is the real one???

 

DHv0.51 is 1.3mb whit out the FW files you need.(you need to dump the FW)
Then it will be more them 20mb.

 

could someone here make a tut on using devhook 0.51's usb mod for 2.71 fw cause i can't seem to get it working...

 

hey how can i play the demos like would soccer tour which require 2.81? i dont have any 2.81 isos yet so im stuck now i tried before but didnt work so help???

 

Yeah just put the demos on your PSP, then run DevHook to emulate 3.02. THen go to GAME-->Memory Stick and then select the demo.

i thought that demo required 2.71

 

I think they made a new version which required 2.81 because 2.71 was emulated with DevHook. But now since DevHook can emulate everything, its no problem.

 

thnx eternalis, i can't wait til they make the usb.prx compatible for higher firmwares maybe we can expect more compatibility with the usb mod? like Armored Core in english for instance?

It should work if the USB isn't 2.0.

It doesn't require anything extra, everything that is required is mentioned in the guide.

 

i've finished downloading the devhook. I did what the link says

but on the step 25:

Go down to UMD Select, press 'circle', select "-- UMD Disc --", and press 'circle'.

after i pressed the "umd disc", it just return to the menu and i can't find the "umd version"

i just stuck on step 25

Did you simply try starting devhook? It should be set to 3.02 as a default.

 

oh so the usb isnt suppose to be 2.0

 

BlkMagic1 what? the USB speed? I think it work on any USB.
