Tutorial:*Ripping* xbox 360 games(using your pc dl dvd drive)

i have a hitachi 47, and the 2 wire trick worked great for me, it is hard to find how to do it and ive lost the link sorry. once windows has reconized it what firmware should i use?

 

Are you talking about flashing your xbox? Cause this thread is on ripping and burning backups.... I don't know the first thing about flashing... Just pay 40$ to get someone else to do that.

am new to this so i need some help...i read the post but still some problem.... i have a samsung sh-202.... when i rip the game i get a 220mb size file.... i tried ripping games with Gladiator and Star wars... and am not too sure how the HOTSWAP works...

I just bought a copy of "Finding Neverland" off Play for this and It came today and weighing at only 6.54GB

Umm so my when i rip my games the only come out to be about 151mb..

Hi after you have done this how can u then ripp them back to your pc from the rip you just made?

 

i only get a 253 mb file when i rip left 4 dead 2 i think i did something wrong

 

If i dont care about stealth or being banned from xbox live, can i just skip to the last step and burn after ripping?

 

I would recommend that you either hold the top down and make sure it is on the device all of the way, or put the screws back in it before firing it up, for you will not have to pull the drive apart till the next game you backup.

Can you rip discs that are scratched and don't run on the xbox 360. The disc that i have scratched is Mw2 that i bought and idiot that i am turned the xbox 360 while it was running and it scratched it so yea i was wondering i can rip the disc out of its entirety because it won't run.

 

You maybe able to if you used a kreon drive & set read speed to 2-4x that would be the only chance you have aside from getting the disc polished
