tv guide onscreen question

    Considering purchasing Pioneer DVR 533H S as my first DVR (I know I'm behind the times here).

    What I am wondering and can't seem to find in writing anywhere...

    Does the TV Guide Online work with good old STANDARD cable, or do you need DIGITAL cable for it to be able to download updates?

    Or can I hook it up to my broadband and have it get updates that way?

    It works with standard or digital cable. Won't work with satellite.

    Inquiry is better suited for the DVD Recorder Forum.
