    Hey,
I will soon be going to uni, and i was wondering about the TV licencing laws in the UK.
I would want to take a TV to run my game consoles but i wouldnt watch any TV on it, is this within the law? Is there a chance that i can get accused falsely and get charged?

    Thank you

If I remember correctly, you need a TV license whether you plan on watching TV or not, purely because the TV is capable of receiving the signal.

Best thing I could suggest, which is well within the law, would be to get an old, cheap computer monitor and a VGA adaptor to connect your console to it! It means that there is no chance of being done for dodging the license fee!

    Hope this helps.
