Is there a difference between backing up tv shows such as Arrested Development and The Office (BBC version) versus movies? Here's the problem: I can successfully back-up movies I own, but I receive error messages with tv series each time. I can successfully rip and shrink the tv series, but I can't burn them. I use DVDD to rip (and I've tried the file mode and iso mode), shrink, then DVDD to burn. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Like I said, no trouble with movies, only tv series. Thanks.

There should be no difference other than the fact that TV series may require more compression due to 3 or 4 episodes on a disk. The principle is the same.

So any idea why DVDD fails to burn on the tv series opposed to movies? I've tried with two different series and multiple disc.

Not sure why you are having problems.

If you can rip the series disk to your hard drive and compress with Shrink you should not have problems burning.

Do they play OK from the hard drive?

You could try Nero to burn as Decrypter will not handle files in VOB format.
