yes i have a question about this. Im new to this but i noticed that if i look on the back of my digital cable box is has a s video out and audio out. I was wondering if i could take a s video cable from that cable box, have a program in windows to run and capture video. My computer has a s video in and audio in, so in theory i think it would work. I just need to know the program to download. If anyone has suggestions on how to do this please let me know. thanks

Try DVD Express. It's useful for easily transferring old VHS to file as well as tv.

Didn't your video card come with the software, if that's where the s-video connector is?

desmet9, the rules of this forum say no pimpin' other sites...so unless you want to start paying advertising fees to dRD, lose that crap from your sig. ^.^

Windows Movie Maker, Pinnacle, Nero's crap...any general movie making software should have a capture software that will work.
