I have a desktop HP m8300f with a tv tuner. I would like to get the best quality from my cable box.the input on the dektop are very old (cable coax, s-video, composent) bad quality.

the next model m8330f has hdm-dvi but 200$ more.

the question is could I add and HDMI OR DVI or even component input on my desktop to get beter quality from my cable box.

the other problem is in the window media configuration don't have to option of this cables inputs. so what is the best solution toget a better quality.

    thank you

If you buy a card that has HDMI and DVI inputs, you'll only notice the improved quality if you're paying for and viewing high defition programming. Those connections won't make normal cable video quality any better.
