    Hi,
I am not sure if I have picked the right discussion group(if I haven't, I am sorry)but I have a small problem.I am trying to join
two avi files (from same source)using VirtualDub, but am unable to
append the second file because of variable audio sampling rate
(first:15933s/s; second:15779s/s)thus I am stuck at this juncture.
My ultimate goal is to convert to vob files.Using Winavi batch media
option produces vob files of unequal size(less than 1.0 Gig each).
The total size of this job is approx. 6.9Gigs.Using Dvd Shrink, it
sees midstream files which are not 1.0 gig and will not proceed.
    Any help, would be appreciated.

to fix your sampling rate problem
open virtual dub load your first avi using file open now goto audio select full processing mode under compression make sure it is set to no compresion PCM now goto file and select save wave name it and hit save once your wave is saved then goto audio select wav audio a file manager will appear that will let you select your new audio source(the file you just created)
now wether you apply compression or not is up to you and how much hdd space you have availble usually you will need about .5gb per minute for a downloaded movie if you save as an uncompressed avi to apply compression I would recommend using the same compression as the original avi goto video select full processing mode then goto compression and select your type now goto file and save avi
Now repeat for the second avi
the new avis now have the same sampling rate
