does anyone know if its possible to have two modems on the one connection?
I have NTL(Irish service provider)broadband, which comes through the same cable the TV connection comes through, which is in every room.
Can i have a two seperate modems in different rooms?
Will i have a problem with the IP address's clashing?

    Shoet answear. No.

Need to get a router for this. Your best bet would be to go wireless. That would mean one router. You will also need a WIFI device on each PC.

I'd recommend trying to find a LAN modem and a separate router, I believe the NTL cale modems already have LAN. If you can only use USB, share the connection over the network. Combination modem/routers are usually horrible shoddy things, no matter how much they cost, I learnt that one the hard way.
