Indulge me... TYG02 (DVD-R 8X) unbranded fail at 6X at "lead out." The same file, burned from HD, is successful at 8X and 12X. This has happened to me twice now. Ripping with DVD43/Recode 2 and encoding with Nero Recode 2 to HD. Then using Nero Burning ROM to burn to media (so I can choose burn speed). Video file size is 4.1 GB. These are the only coasters I have ever gotten with this media with 40+ burns... Puzzled...
your guess is as good as mine i burn EVERYTHING @8x, so, i never ran into the problems you are having~ slower is [bold] not [/bold]ALWAYS better with high quality media~ that is the only explanation i can think of~ keep up w/ the TYS at the higher speeds, if it works, why fix it? ")
