I've been using the demo version for a week and suddenly ran into a drive problem. When I try to burn from Nero Vision everything works fine in the transcoding until it goes to burn. It tells me there is insufficient space on the disc. What appears to happen is even through a DVD+R disc in the drive, it appears to think it's a CD and when I look in my Windows Explorer, the drives reads as a CD drive. I have burned disc succesfully using Nero Vision earlier in the week. The drive still plays DVDs, will burn with other programs, and will burn DVDs using Nero Recode and data DVDs with Nero Express. Only the Nero Vision gives me the problem. I've tried reinstalling and that didn't help. Suggestions? Overall, I much prefer this demo of Nero over Roxio.
I received this same error when I tried Nero version 7.2.3.2, I had to uninstall it, run the clean tool, http://ww2.nero.com/nero7/enu/Nero7_CleanTool.html and then reverted to this version, 7.0.8.2, you can try for download from here http://www.filehippo.com/download_nero_7_premium/?845 BTW if you have Roxio installed, then I would uninstall it as it clashes with Nero, heres a zapper http://www.softpedia.com/get/Tweak/Uninstallers/Roxio-Zap.shtml
Gwendolin, many thanks for your reply. I used the Roxiozap to clean that out, uninstalled the Nero demo version I had (7.2.3.2b) and used the General clean tool. But, new problem -- when I went to install version 7.0.8.2 from filehippo as you suggested, it tried to automatically use the serial number from the 7.2.3.2b version which doesn't work. I don't know what to put in there this time.
