I didnt know where to ask this. About 3 weeks ago i had to do a system restore, and being me i hadnt backed up my files, so is there any freeware out there, or any other way i can get my files back?
system restore doesnt get rid of your files it only gets rid of any programs that you installed after the restore date.
god knows. are you still using the same username? run a search on the hard drive for anyone of your missing files if it finds it the rest are probably in the same folder. ive done hundreds of system restores and not once have i lost files through doing it
I meant to say Disk Recovery DUH! im stupid and ashamed with myself, so yeah what i meant was a did a complete recovery...is there anything out there that can get my files back??
your files are lost..as you overwrote and formated your hard drive. next time you do a total reformat back up your files to a cd or a xternal hard drive..
