It looks like missing audio filter, perhaps ac3-filter. Check needed filters of file eg. Gspot-program.

Yeah now all people need to do is type in the name of any program available at the site and it automatically becomes a link to it, now i dont have to type in URLs anymore.

thnx for the link....... but i still cant make it to work! when i open my avi file with gspot this is what it says in the audio format section: Stream 1>, Codec Name:0x0055(MP3) ID'd as MPEG-2 Layer 3, Stat:Codec is installed the following codec should be capable of proessing this format:Lame MP3 Encoder ACM Codec and it also says that direct show was able to find a codec to render it - the sound for this media clip should work fine. But when i try to render it it says this:Some of the streams in the movie are in an unsuppoprted format. When i opened the avi file without gspot it still had the same problem(no sound) damn is something wrong with the video am i just stupid to make this thing work properly?

I can't promise if anything following works for You but You could try following.

Install VirtualDub and open and save your video file again (with different name) with options Audio/Direct_stream_copy and Video/Direct_stream_copy. Then try to view it again.

Second You could try is to install Media player classic. It has decoding support for video files with 2 audio streams.
