whenever I try to edit in ulead, the dvd becomes huge from 4.3 gb to 10 or 20 gb is there any freeware for fast editing that won't expand on me? Note: this is for deleting scenes and please don't suggest dvd remake, I don't like the way it does it.
Some people use the free dvdshrink to delete scenes. It's cumbersome but it is use by some people. Avidemux (free) can also edit vob's but it requires a learning curve and you have to adjust the framerate to prevent audio/sync issues. I use videoredotvsuite (paid software) it is the best editor available. I use it remove scenes from dvd movies, turn an r-rated movie to pg13 etc. The editing is frame accurate and there is no reencoding in most cases, I never get a larger file than the original. A 4.3gb dvd will be smaller after editing. This program is a pure editer, it won't add transitions etc.
