Hi everyone! We've all seeing threads addressing how to put together a gaming PC, but i haven't seeing any on how to hook a laptop up. Space limitations, weight, battery life etc. This are my specs: HP Pavilion 5240US Intel Pentium 4 3.00GHz ATI Mobility Radeon 9100 IGP AGP 128.0MB 256MB DDR, 333 CL2.5 Infineon (DXDIAG says i got 382MB RAM (shared?) 1x 60GB HHD Fujitsu SoundMAX Digital Audio It runs ok...but it lags a little with some games. Do you think i should bother going up to 1GB RAM and a better card? let me know what you guys think would make a great Gaming Laptop! Budget is not an issue.
sorry to break it to you flarehaze, but from my knowledge im pretty sure that your stuck with the video card you have right now on your lap top, i suppose those manufactuers like "HP" put it so u cant really upgrade the lap top much, but as for the same, the higher the better
2nd that in stuck with onboard video. upgrade main ram so can assign upto 128meg to video. specs on laptop. http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/...page=prodinfoCategory&cc=ca&docname=c00248258
I enjoy more working on my PC anyways. I just wanted to be able to put that Pentium 4 to work, but i guess i can't do much with that card i got. I'll open it up this weekend, and see if i'm stuck with that 9100. Thanks!
If budget is not an issue then get the new DELL XPS with the Nvidia 7800 graphics card, fastest gaming laptop out, and just released.
