Hi... TO make ISO's work on your PSP useing UMDEMULATOR you will need to arange the folders in the following way.

    DOWNLOAD UMDEMULATOR V0.8c FROM www.psp-hacks.com

    1. Open your downloaded UMDemulator and you will see tow folders: one named "PSP" and the otherone named "UMDEMULATOR".

    2. Connecto yur PSP into your computer with the USB cable and once you have done this a screen will be opened in which there should be a folder named "PSP". Inside this folder there should be for other folders: "GAMES" "PHOTOS" "MOVIES" MUSIC".

    3. Open the zipped umdemulator and open the "PSP" Folder, then open the next folder named "GAME" and then extract the items inside this folder (UMDEMULATOR and UMDEMULATOR%) to THe "GAME" folder of the PSP.

    4. Extract the "UMDEEMULATOR" folder from the zipped UMDemulator to the root dierctory of the PSP and put it just beside the "PSP" folder

5.Create a folder in the PSP root directory named "ISO". This is where you will put the iso's you have.

So now the root directory should look like this:

    + PSP
    | |
    | +MUSIC
    | +PHOTOS
    | +MOVIES or VIDEOS
    | +GAMES
    | |
    | + UMDEMULATOR
    | +UMDEMULATOR%
    |
    +UMDEMULATOR
    | |
    | +core.bin
    | +menu
    |
    +ISO <-- Put isos here

IN case you need it this is how the UMDemulator zip folder should look:

    +PSP
    | |
    | +GAME
    | |
    | + UMDEMULATOR } Both of these folders should be
    | + UMDEMULATOR% } put in the Game folder of your PSP
    |
    |
+UMDEMULATOR <-- should be put in the root directory of your PSP
    | |
    | + core.bin
    | + menu
    |
    |
    +REadme

Once this is done just put an iso in the iso folder and go back to the main menu in your PSP and go to games, the to the memory stick icon and The UMDEMULATOR should be there (DO NOT WORRY ABOUT THE CORRUPTED DATA). Open it and select DIRECT LOAD OR COPY LOAD in the Iso emulation mode and start emulation. You may want to follow these settings They work for several games includeing championship manager:

    CPU/Bus speed : 333/166 mhz
Iso emulation mode : copy load
    Disctype Iso : Game
    Disctype Umd : Game
    Updater Icon : ORIGINAL
    Use boot.bin : ON
    Regioncode Override : ON
    Regioncode game/video/audio : REGIONFREE

    Flash0 emulation : ON
    Flash1 emulation : OFF

Hope You can get the games running ... Tell me if you finally made it
    Goodluck

I've done everything that your guide states and I can't get my iso to load. For some reason when I load up the UMD emu V0.8c program it freezes on me. I see that in the bottom left hand corner it says digital up/down : select iso". Nothing happens when I press "down" on the d pad, but when I press "up" the green lettering at the bottom of the screen gets all scrambled and the emu program seems to freeze. I never get the option to actually select which iso file I want to load. Please help. BTW, I have a version 1.50 PSP and I'm trying to run "NFS Most Wanted US rip by Solidusnakeater.iso".

@neophile.. I have the game and I can play it with the UMDEMULATOR. Make SURE you have the UMDemulator V0.8c and not the UMDemulator V0.8. Maybe you will have to download it again. Try downloadint it from here: www.psp-hacks.com

Tell me if you finally made it.

CHECK TAHT YOUR ISO FILE HAS BOTH A "PSP_GAME" FOLDER AND A "UMD_DATA.BIN"

It's a no go. My iso has both a "PSP_GAME" folder and a "UMD_DATA.BIN" file, and I have downloaded the UMD emulator from the website you linked. I have tried downloading the umdemulator from various websites and I still get the same problem. The weird thing is that I'm never able to create the "config.dat" file when I run the umdemulator prog. I assume it's because I have yet to run the prog completely once (i.e. it just freezes and I never get the option to select the iso) and therefore the prog does not have the opportunity to create the file. I'm at a deadlock here.....

@neophile... The ony thing that can freeze the umdemulator is incorrect folder settings. Once you opened the UMDemulator with Winrar you must Put the folder named UMDEMULATOR on the ROOT DIRECTORY and then put THE Tow folders inside the PSP folder inside the GAME fodler (the tow folders are UMDEMULATOR AND UMDEMULATOR%) in the PSP/GAME foder of YOUR PSP. Pleas check that you have put everything where it should be.

    Thanks for the wonderfull gide.

But i now wonder, is it possible to run this UMD Emulator v0.8 for FW 1.50 in a 2.00 FW ? Kind of using a EBOOT Loader for 2.00 FW ? I tried this but no success.

Is there and UMD emulator that can be used in 2.00 FW ?

    Thanks

@Cyrozo... I have never heard of a UMDemulator for 2.00. And I also know that above 1.5 no ISO's can be loaded. I'm sorry...

@GR13 -- By the way, as you see to deal with this ISO stuff for a while, at least more than me lol, tell me something. I got my new FW 1.50 again. Then I installed UMDEMULATOR 0.80C has on the guide above, run it and worked perfectly, applied the configs mentioned above but by the time i click on the CROSS on my PSP with the ISO to run selected, the app seams to freeze. I can't figure whats the problem.

Can you help me? or anybody else?

    Thanks

@gbgunner... There must be some problem with your settings. ARE YOU SURE YOU HAVE SELECTED DIRECT LOAD OR COPY LOAD in the ISO emulation mode. MAKE SURE YOU ARE STARTING THE EMULATION WITH A UMD DISK INSIDE THE PSP (it may be any Umd, even the one that comes inside the PSP box) By the way, what games are you trying to load?

@Cyrozo... Try this (I DO NOT KNOW WHY IT FREEZES BUT I WILL GIVE YOU ANOTHER WAY TO LOAD THE GAEMS). Make SURE you HAVE A UMD DISK INSIDE THE PSP when you start the emulation. Also make sure you TRIED WITH BOth "COPY LOAD" and "DIRECT LOAD". If it still dosent work try this: sett your UMDEMULATOR ISO emulation mode to SYSTEM MENU and start the emulation. Once you are back on the PSP menu Go upwards to the UMD disk and you will almost surely see the the game's icon. Press X and it will load the game. I do not konw if it will work but i have read that some people have loaded their games like that.

Yepp, guess the problem was the UMD not being inside. Altough when i load a ISO in system, copy or direct load i get an error warning me that there was an error in starting the game, as soon has i go back to the UMD icon on the games seperator as i usually do, the UMD is now masked with the ISO loaded and plays perfectly so i guess my problem is solved.

Thanks anyway, also i didn't think at all the UMD was necessary, in the mean while i also tried using Fastloader v0.7 witch says in readme file no UMD is needed, it keeps freezing the app. But, no point in fighting that problem has i have the UMD EMulator working.

    =)

    Good Games to all :D
