Picked a rotten time to have my system go down requiring a reformat. Havent been able to activate as servers appear to be down and, of course, phone center closed. Been searching for a way around the activation issue (registry keys, etc) but nothing. Is there/will there be any patch to eliminate this damn activation issue???

    Thanks

321 servers aren't down.... they just don't support ripper versions anymore. You'll probably have to call 321 and have them issue you a RF license. Then when you download XCopy Gold RF, get 321rip.

Thanks FLIP...Call 321??? Do they answer??? Think my odds would be better switching over to one of the other rippers discussed in the forum. I'll give it a try.

Call centers hours are Mon-Sat 9am-6pm Central Standard Time. Best time to call is when it first opens.

Well I don't know if your odds will be any better. I don't think you'll have a hard time getting a new RF license, especially if you've got a legally bought copy. You are entilted to lifetime upgrades and activations. As for the other backup software ... it's always nice to have different choices to backup. XCopy Platinum was my first backup software. I still have it, and use it every so often ... but I like using other ones before using XCopy.
