No matter what I do, I can't get any backups of this game to work.

Tried all kinds of speeds. Tried different discs/burning programs.

    Won't load at all.

I made a backup of my copy and it works fine. Maybe you could use Craxtion to patch the .xbe file and then recreate the .iso to see what happens.

Patch the xbe? Is there a patch out for it?

Also, how did you do it? What were the exact steps you took?

It does the same thing every time. It starts to load the first mission and dies after nearly finishing loading.

I have a whole collection of coasters now.

Google for a program called Qwix. You can use this to patch your xbe files.

That seems to have worked! I patched EVERY XBE file. Is there a list somewhere of the games that need to be patched? I have some games that give me a DDE while 95% of my other games don't. Is that a patch situation too?

It's hard to say. I've used the exact same backup one one particular game on each of my 3 boxes. It works on 1 of 3 and they are all chipped, exactly the same. Same programs, updates to software and BIOS, etc...but like I said the same disc only works on 1 of 3. It wasn't patched. Once I recreated the .iso with a patched .xbe file, I got the same results.

I don't know of a list that will be accurate to your question. It's obvious that if three different people owned my xboxes, one person wouldn't have a problem.

So there may not be a 100% sure answer for that. I say try it w/o patching or just patch all your games before burning. MAYBE SOMEONE WILL POST with a little bit more knowledge on this than me.
