I've just upgraded from Nero version 7 that came with my DVD burner to a trial version of Nero 9. Each time I try to burn an AVI file to DVD (which worked perfectly in 7), I now end up with a blank screen (black) but the sound works fine. The DVD has the Nero splash screen where you can pick which chapters to play, but after you make your selection, the screen goes black and stays black. Noticed in the transcoding section of the burn process that the preview screen is also black. Any ideas what the problem is?
The problem is that you replaced a perfectly working version of Nero with a bloated piece of junk. FAVC or DVD Flick or DVDStyler can do the job for you instead, free.
Hi, The trial version of Nero 9 won't support the burning AVI to disc function, which is really stupid. You have to upgrade to the full version of Nero 9 reloaded to get this function. I had the same problem.
