   I have downloaded some .wmv movies and they play fine but I can not fast forward. Can you tell me what to do to fix this?

   I have encountered the same problem with a few WMVs as well, and while I don't know why they can't scan in the new WMP, I know that classic WMP can scan, so maybe give that a try
