I checked out a demo version of Nero 6 and was very impressed with it, so went ahead and bought a Nero 7 ultra edition from Best Buy. While trying to install it asks for a serial number and I am unable to locate a serial number. I did find a Tech Support ID # but apparently that is not the serial number. Can someone help?

OEM, doesn't that mean Original Equipment Manufacturer?
I.E. like a Lite-on DVD-RW drive? When I got my Nero 6 which came bundled with a Sony DRU-800A the serial number was already on the disk itself and installed itself when I put the disk in and clicked "Install". Try it that way and see what happens. It shouldn't need a serial number if it is an OEM version.

in addition to the other replies you probably need to persevere with Nero support.

i've also subscribed to this to make sure no-one replies and starts mentioning illegal serial numbers :)
