how come when im trying to convert a .rmvb file a message appear it said unable to load source. what does that mean? well i know what it means, i have the files in my folder, i opened the file and it plays fine. How come it wont let me convert? Im using winavi 7.1. Any suggestions? Thanks!
Ok, so it plays fine via dshow, that means that it should also convert fine via dshow. Conclusion therefor would be that WinAVI doesn't read files via dshow or it doesn't do it well. You could try frameserving via AVISynth using directshowsource(). Otherwise I guess use something else to convert. Are you 100% sure that wmp works though? Because Media Player Classic has built in real support as of course does real player.
