UNABLE TO PLAY COPIED MOVIES

    I HAVE A TOSHIBA PRO SATELLITE 6100.IT SEEMS WHEN I FIRST TURN ON THE COMPUTER AND PUT THE COPY IN IT WORKS, then if i stop and eject it will not read the dvd again.i have tried shutting down norton and it still will not work.I am using dvd+r movies and my dvd drive is -r multi-drive by panasonic for toshiba. can this be the problem?

    Probably some copy protection proggy on your PC detected that you're not running original version.

    I dont think that is the problem, what media are you using for burning your backups, some media does not work very well in some drives, I dont think its norton or anything, its probbably the media, solutions:

    1. Try using -R disc and see how you do.

    2. Try booktyping +R to DVD-ROM.

    3. Try using some 1st class media (Verbs, Taiyo Yuden, Maxell, Tdk)


    sometimes some media does not work in some drives, I bough some Imation -R and they never worked on my laptop while they worked on my standalone, DVD-ROM drive so your 1st move should be downloading DVD identifier and tell us which manufactures your media, and try following my recommendations above.

    @marcus23 there is not such copy protection program that detects if your not running the original version.
