These need to be on, go here for a guide to turn on DMA http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/260038 I cant check firmware due to unavailable source, hopefully this will fix the problem.
Firmware is current according to RPC1.... You could probably up your burn speed with those Verbs to 6X or 8X and still get excellent results. [bold] thank you very much for helping[/bold] I have looked at "Hardware" and under "IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers" I have only "NVIDIA Vforce 2(tm) SPP/IGP ATA Controller". I have EPOX motherborad with AMD 2500+ CPU,Nero 7.0, and 2 SATA HD (1. maxtor 80GB SATA 1.0,2.WD 250GB SATA 2). the DVD(Pioneer DVD-RW(107D)) is connected in the Secondery IDE slot on the motherboard and it's jumpered to be primary. Still , when I look at "IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers" I can't see "Primary IDE Channel" nor "Secondary IDE Channel" thank you.
You say you can't see a primary or secondary IDE controller listed in the My Computer-Properties-Hardware-Device Manager and click the + sign on IDE ATA/ATAPI Controllers (Nvidia is the same thing). If you could see a Master Controller and Secondary controller, you would need to click on the Secondary controller and select properties-Advanced Settings and make sure it says DMA if available on device 0. If you really don't have those entries, check the bios to make sure you have them turned on under Integrated Peripherals. If they are turned on and you still can't see the IDE controllers, you may need to reinstall your chipset drivers. If you system is running properly, you should have the IDE controller listed with Master and Secondary entries under it. I suppose with that motherboard, something might be different as to how the devices are displayed, but I wouldn't think so. You might try moving the connector for the DVD to the Primary IDE connector and see what happens.
wheres the log file that tells me where your nvidia drivers are, try running nero info tool and seeing if you get the info that way
