hi my friend's ipod will not restore since his ipod crashed, he decided to restore it, it says that the ipod has been restored but nothing has happened and is stuck in a continuous loop. Can someone please help me with a fix or something asap thanks.

yea mine is 5.5 gen as well and this problem i encounter when i try to install the ipod classic hack for the 5 gen, what you do is set the ipod to recovery mode, hold the menu and center until the ipod shuts down and immediately release menu and hold the play and center until you see a check on your screen, the ipod is now on recovery mode, you can connected to the pc with itunes running, and click restore, Try that. Good Luck.

I had a problem where my 80GB iPod Classic just completely froze. I couldn't do anything with it, even turn it off! So I just let it sit there for a few hours until the battery was dead then I full charged it now it works fine.

So maybe try that, just kill the battery then charge it up and see where it gets you.

Just take it to the apple store and tell them you restored it and it got stuck in a continuous loop.

Then they will try to fix it or replace it for free and while your at it ask them for new headphones
