After some advice please. I flashed my DBox2 with commando 5 when I first got it by transferring the image through ftp. I wanted to upgrade to commando 6 but when I come to transfer the image across it comes up ftp error, unable to access folder. I can view file heirarchy through internet explorer but not windows explorer, which I need to be able to transfer the image. Does commando 5 change the password from DBox2? I have checked and double checked all network settings and am confident everything is correct. Any help/ideas/advice much appreciated.
remove any plugins you have, there might not be enough room on the box. can you connect to the box? is it just the temp folder you cant access?
I can access the box and view the parent directory, just when I try to open the temp folder in windows explorer it comes up with an access error and says check security settings. Is it worth trying IFA or do you still need to use the password with that?
you need to sign into the box username root and password dbox2 - you have probably connected as anonymous and thus wont see any thing other than the root file structure
and you'll find it difficult to login if you dont know what your doing with windows explorer so once again get filezilla Filezilla Download
When I transferred the commando 5 image i ftp'd via windows explorer and used root/dbox2 user and password, when i have tried to access this time using same username and password i get an error message stating An error occured opening the folder on the FTP server. Make sure you have permission to access this folder. Hence my original question asking whether flashing with commando 5 changes this password. Sorry if I didn't explain myself clearly in the first place. Does flashing using IFA overide the need for password, never used it before.
Flashing with IFA does not require a password. Just connect the cables from pc to box start IFA then power on the box and wait for it to finish flashing

Thanks for the advice everyone, I have flashed commando 6 with IFA and now when I try to log in it lets me, seems as though the commando 5 image was somehow corrupted. Thanks again.
