Hi ray, i read this website explaining how a dvd movie is read on a dvd player. here the link http://electronics.howstuffworks.com/question596.htm. It explains that any dvd player has an MPEG2 decoder which decompresseses a compressed DVD movie. You said you have 4 films on 1 dvd and they will not play properly. First you need to try to watch your dvd on your computer first, if everything runs fine, then the problem is your media (the disc). It is not the problem of the movie itself unless you somehow incorrectly compressed your movie. I do not think there is anyway to decompressed your dvd movie. It is just like a BMP picture is scaled down to a size of a JPNG picture, you cannot get that quality back. My suggestion is to play your dvd on the computer first, then play it on other dvd players and see how things go. If it is true that your media is bad, go buy Ritek Go4 1x-4x DVD-R and re-burn your movie.
