You mean he gets money instead of flicks?
My you have corrupted the poor lad beyond all belief.
Was able to get ahold of a copy of Bedtime stories and it backs up well with AnyDVD 6.5.2.8. Minivan here it comes.

Are you running the latest version of AnyDVD? If so try ripping to your HDD with AnyDVD alone. Just right click on the fox head and then "Rip Video DVD to Harddisk."

I did this one successfully (a second time) with AnyDVD 6.5.3.1 + Clone 2.9.2.2 if that helps at all... get those and you should be having no problems whatsoever.

    Cheers!!

Yeah, Leave it to Disney to have the best code money can buy. I think it's funny that they must waste so much time and effort trying to "outsmart" the pirate when all the pirates "learn" in a matter of months, how to get around it.
You'd think the makers of AnyDVD and others like him (or her) get all excited when they get the newest attempt to foil us from Disney and others...
Like, laughin' at the "attempt" and I can almost envision the boardroom discussion over copywrites...
"We can make it un-copyable for about a month and the cost is somewhere around a hundred and fifty thousand..."

And I honestly think that should I ever be responsible for creating a movie (or script for that matter), I'd be giving it away, "legs wide open" so to speak. I mean, why try so hard to keep my precious movie from being stolen, why spend the time and energy when I could surely spend that time and energy in a more efficent way. Making another movie for instance.
And why worry about how much I'm going to get paid, surely it'll be enough for me and my kids won't it?

I mean, really, won't there always be poor people out there who don't have computers (or access to them), won't there be people in Africa without tv's and DVD players?
Can't I just fly over there with my Magnavox and generator and presto, charge the people thirty dollars (or two buckets of brown water and a goat) to see it?
If it's a great movie and everybody wants to see it, won't they pay? I mean, really, won't someone pay?

If I go to Mexico with my Magnavox and generator, I'm pretty sure I could charge three bags of coke and a child under the age of ten, and make a killing...No?

Seems to me like all our drama is about greed and seems (also) that the greediest one out there is Mr Disney. Kind of a shame I think...

Interesting side note: Not once have I come across a porno with any security code on it. Like, those people are just happy to "give it away". What's their secret?

6.5.3.2 with 2.9.2.0 backed up Bedtime Stories with ease.

I live in the United States, Sony Pictures Entertainment would be the "dummies" that you are referring to and no, I do not make backup copies of my rentals.

    Cheers!

I'd have thought DVDFab would make easy work of Bedtime Stories and I'm pretty sure DVDFab can do Bolt too, we have another thread for Bolt. ..i'll bet you're using a dvd burner to rip. Burners aren't quite as good at ripping as a dvd-rom drive (my main ripping drive is a 6yr old dvd-rom/cdwriter combo drive, there's nothing that it can't rip). These movies aren't out here in the UK yet, am going by what i've read..

I have found that Lite-On ODDs have problems from time to time ripping/transcoding some DVDs BUT i've never ever had a DVD that a Plextor or Pioneer ODD can't rip/transcode.

I use my Plextor to do the majority of my ripping as well.

@ b37bishop Disney's title encryption can easily be handled, just remove all of the disney BLU-RAY advertisements in NERO Recode or CloneDVD. There are usually 4, delete them all including the Disney films advertisement that starts with the Pirates of The Carribean. You then can successfully make use of the AnyDVD or Ripit4Me option to start your disc from the main movie or movie menu.;)

Bedtime Stories now released in UK. Ripit4me struggles with this but DVDFab 5.2.3.2 will do a perfectly simple movie only rip. It has the annoying Disney cp that shows 21 main titles hence people getting insufficient disk space errors!

I did both as Full Disc, then removed all the unwanted's with VobBlanker. Doing Main Movie keeps compression low, there's nothing wrong with doing it that way to preserve quality.
