I want to install virus protection thru my IP but I'm getting a message to delete the Symantec (Norton)from my computer or I can't install it. When I try to uninstall the Symantec I get a message saying that I must enter an uninstall password, which I don't have nor have I any way of getting. What can I do to uninstall the Symantec virus protection. Thanks
mabey i can help!!! lol i was board so i went to page 86... anyways, you can force delete anything you wana. make a MS DOS boot diskette, then type del C:\symantec or whatever the path is.

google "norton removal tool" that will help you get norton/symantec off your pc. it will give a link to symantec for a tool made by them to get it off
I think the default password is "symantec", so you could always try that as well. Of course, that won't work if it was changed, which is recommended.
