I was given a computer by a friend of mine for my birthday. Thankfully because i could not afford a newer one. Although it did NOT come to me problem free. I'm very good with computers, some-what advanced but by no means Wiz. So this is where i need help. Nero 5.5 is worthless to me, it has many startup errors and i just want to uninstall it. So when i goto "remove programs" it asks for the original install disk. Well, this is a computer that was bought at a computer fair - he wasn't given any software discs. Lovely huh? So after several attempts and getting nowhere, file searching and so on I'm at a dead end. Ultimately I need a backdoor way to get rid of this useless program. I'm running Win XP. I'm very good with Win98 and manuevering around - I'm doing ok with manuevering with XP but have alot of learning to do. So...who can help? Any would be extremely appreciated
Hi, A down and dirty method would be to boot into safe mode and delete all files/folders associated with Nero and then run RegClean afterwards to clean up the regisry entries. http://www.docsdownloads.com/regclean.htm
juzcruzn It needs the installation disc for certain files that are required to remove it.
