    Hello..

Is there anyway to uninstall my SP2?
i tried all these methods from http://support.microsoft.com/KB/875350
    none of em worked..

    I don't have SP on add/uninstall programs
i dont even have the $NtServicePackUninstall$ hidden folder

i tried search for servicepack files and i couldn't find any..

does any 1 have any other methods of trying to delete SP2?

If SP2 was installed as an intergrated (slipstreamed) XP CD, you cannot uninstall it.

You would have to start fresh from an XP CD that does not have SP2 intergrated.

ok i found my old windows xp disc NON-sp2(realy old disc)
but when i put it in my comp, it says my version is newer then the 1 on the disc..

does this mean i can't reformat a older version of windows xp prof?

(i havn't tried booting comp up with disc in yet)

If the XP disk is bootable, you can use it to reformat the system. However, I must caution you to not install XP or XPSP1 to a computer not behind a hardware firewall (found in routers). Or, at least unplug the machine from the internet until you can get a good software firewall up and running. To do so otherwise could result in getting hit by worm or virus.

XP and XPSP1 machines will soon lose MS support and updates will no longer be available from the update site.

What seems to be the problem you're having with SP2?

some programs freezes randomly or just crashes..

    uninstalling SP2 fixes it up

recently my computer had some serious problems so we took it back to the teqs and they go it fixed.. they also installed the lastest windows xp prof (SP2).

SP2, like most other service packs, can cause issues with currently running drivers and apps due to the changes it makes in the operating system. That is way it's better off to install XP with SP2 already intergrated. Same thing happened back when SP1 was released.
