hows it going? I've been working with ubuntu for sometime now and i think i am ready to get rid of it and switch to Debian but, i am unaware of how to uninstall the Ubuntu partition on my box. I am dual booting with mircosoft windows professional edition and i don't want to harm any files that i may have on that OS. How do i uninstall Ubuntu 8.04 from my HDD without touching the Windows OS and installing a Debian? Help would be greatly appreciated thanks in Advance!!!
First backup any files on the ubuntu partition that you would like to keep. then boot the computer from the debian cd. follow the instructions. then when it asks which drive to install on select the partition with ubuntu and format it and set it as the root drive "/". then just finish the install and install grub to the boot drive and your done.
