How do I uninstall windows xp? When i was installing it to my computer, i was hoping it would overwrite my original windows ME, but every time i turn on the computer, it stays in DOS and asks whether i want to use XP or ME. How do i make it so that when i turn on my computer, it goes straight to XP?

You need to do a completed reformated on your computer and start from scratch, then reinstall XP. Someone correct me if I'm wrong?

In Control Panel, go to System. Go to the Advanced tab. Go to the Startup and Recovery section and click on Settings. You should see something that says Time to display list of Operating Systems. You can set that down to 0 if you never use anything but XP after making sure that the Default operating system selection is set to Microsoft Windows XP. Leave the Time to display recovery option alone.

I would try it first with a low value like 2 or so in case you make a mistake. If you had ME set as the default operating system then it is much harder to change back if you set the Time to display list of operating systems to 0 than if you had it set to XP.
