So I put Halo 2 on my xbox and then the United Map Pack. The show up in the main menu but when I try to play them it says "downloaded content is damadged try redownloading content" or sumthing like that. Does anyone know what I have to do to play the maps?
did you try downloading the maps agian or maybe go on a firends xbox with the maps and buy a memory card and copy his
Okay, first of all the maps worked on my xbox and now I'm doing it for my friend. Second, you CAN'T copy over maps or any game on to any memory card. Games (Such as Halo 2) are around 5 GB. Memory cards can hold about 8 MB. I even use a 1 GB jump drive for my memory card and it isn't possible becauce memory cards can only copy over game saves. I'm looking for someone who know what they're talking about. But thanks anyways.
no you obviously didnt understand me and no need to be a d!cK about it ....so like i was saying if you plug in you memory card into you contoler then you can copy the maps to the memory card and then copy them to your xbox harddrive ...simple.... dont tell somebody they dont know what they are doing when you dont even know if i can or not and you cant even do it ...hmmm EDIT: and you didnt say it was for your friends xbox you just said i put halo 2 in my xbox and downloaded the maps and got an error blah blah blah...and it you know that my way wont work then how bout we see you amazing way that prves me wrong ...i didnt sat copy the game i said the maps...hmmmm....also what you can do it get an ftp connection with your softmodded xbox ( if you are) and your friends has a softmodded xbox then you can ftp the maps over if your interested i have a video of it somewere or simple ftp over the maps onto your computer then ftp them to your friends xbox
Alright, if you can move over maps using a memory card how do you do it and why does that help? I FTP to my xbox's using FlashFXP, I have been since I have been modding and it's not loading the United Map Pack just this once. I really don't think you know what your talking about, the only maps that are game saves are the new ones. Do you even know what the United Map Pack is? I probably just have to resign the maps or something, Lockout and all the original maps load but the modded one's don't.
ok see you didnt tell me that you were modding and idk the names of the maps and i really dont care about the names....i do know how to softmod halo 2 and everything im pretty decent with that.....but anyway yeah try reasigning them ....did you use a PPF or custom and what did you do to the map mabye its some how over loads if you put to much stuff on the map....and if you have to original then try to re mod the map....or if it is a PPF patch then maybe its a bad patch or check to make sure the map number is the right one.
All the maps are made right, no PPF patches though. I got the maps off of a friends hardmodded xbox. I put them on my computer then my xbox. They loaded on my xbox, I think they don't load on my friends because it's from Canada and one of the very first models. I think I might have to unsoftmod it and change the xbox to NTSC. I'll try it on my other friends xbox frist.
yeah ....maybe im not sure if canada is coded different so that you cant egt their "deals" and games and junk
