Hi first post and everything so hello.

Anyway downto buisness, I've been creating a few coasters trying to make DVD backups of my movies in Nero, Alcohol 120% and Blindwrite 5, after reading throught the forums I checked that DMA was enabled, lowered the speed to x2 speed made sure the image i was burning was 4300mb or lower and it still failed 9 times out of 10. The only things I could think of being wrong are crap media but i thought that i had got a decentish brand, and also the fact that my plextor PX-712SA is being listed as a PX-712A, in the alcohol log.

K thanks thought it might be the media, its a shame becuase the first 5 discs burnt like a charm, but then it was all down hill. Ah well im sure there is some sort of lesson about buying cheap stuff to save money then ending up spending more in the long run. Verbatim here i come...
