unknown video format

    i have a video file that says that it is a dvd rip and that it opens up with wmv , and this is strange i can not open the file with nothing not dvix avi, mpeg not dat viewer media player clasic or any other thing that i can think of, and i can open allmost anything so anyone have any ideas how i might view of how i can determin what kind of file it is

    It just might be corrupted. You can always check the codec with gspot.

    GSpot is actually quite limited in what it supports. Media Info would be better since it supports more containers.

    the gspot file on the server was corrupted i don't know how but when i downloaded it and un packed it it said it was corrupted,also where do i find the program media info?
