The chances of this code working is slim. Australian mobiles are very difficult to unlock.

 

Hmm, the phone does nothing after typing the code. The code stays there for a second or two and disappears and again says "Insert SIM Card". Does this mean it can't be unlocked?

 

Try this mate

1. Insert a non accepted sim, most times it will show "Phone Restricted"
2. Press the UNDO option
3. You should see a box that says enter restriction code.
4. Enter the code given and then press (OK)

 

Okay, that gives me a "Code error". Talking to my friend, he says its locked to Virgin... but I have an Optus SIM in it. :S

 

Virgin runs on the Optus network so the code will be the same.

As I said in my previous post Aussie phones are a pain in the neck to unlock.

I could give another code but it will probably fail aswell.

Take my advice mate take / send to a professional / shop to have it unlocked directly with hardware.
