Unlock for Nokia 1600

Hi, could anyone help me. I have a Nokia 1600 locked to Vodafone in Australia and i need to get it unlocked.
My IMEI is 357071/00/713566/8.

Is it just a case of entering a code or is it slightly more complex?

#pw+916 952 737 316 645+7#
Remove sim first,power on the phone.
After the phone boots up, press #
Press * 3 times fast for (p)
Press * 4 times fast for (w)
Press * 2 times fast for (+)
Verify code before pressing the last #.
"Phone restrictions off", it's unlocked!

 

Does the phone need to be plugged in as i don`t have one?

Also, what do you mean when you say verify the code? do you mean check it?

 

Disregard, i do have a plug however i can`t get any of the codes to work It comes up with "Code error" thanks anyhow.
